German couple molested and threatened by five strangers in Linz

On Saturday afternoon, a 29-year-old German, his partner and three other friends were molested and threatened by five strangers in front of a bar in Linz’s Spittelwiese. There is no trace of the troublemakers, an initial search was unsuccessful.

At first, the five strangers behaved intrusively towards the German’s girlfriend and wanted to photograph the young woman against her will. At her partner’s polite rebuke, one of the strangers drew a jackknife and pursued the shocked group of friends for a few yards.

After the threatened had gotten to safety, the five strangers also left the crime scene. After an initial unsuccessful search, the Linz police station on Nietzschestrasse is asking for witness statements and information.
