It’s an open secret: Charleroi has started looking for experienced players to coach its U23s in National 1 next season. While the name of defender Benjamin Boulenger (32, Seraing) has been mentioned recently, discussions have started to repatriate Cristophe Diandy. The 31-year-old midfielder is coming out of a difficult season at Mouscron and the club is on the brink of bankruptcy.
Diandy, at the end of the contract, had joined Excel last summer. He has already played 197 games for Charleroi between 2012 and 2021, interspersed with a loan to Mons.
