Anderlecht signed the Cup-Championship double after winning the final of the Belgian Women’s Football Cup against Standard (3-0) on Saturday in Mechelen. After a score of 0-0 at the break, the Anderlechtoises made the difference in the last twenty minutes of the game. Sarah Wijnants gave Anderlechtoises the lead (70th) before Sakina Diki Ouzraoui (85th) and Tessa Wullaert (87th) set the final score at 3-0.
A few weeks after winning their 9th title of Belgian champion, the RSCA therefore achieved the double and lifted the Belgian Cup for the 11th time in their history. The Brussels club had not won the trophy since 2013.
